One of the most beautiful classical-style theatres in southern Germany, the Aschaffenburg Municipal Theatre was built in 1811 under Prince-primate Carl Theodor von Dalberg during the time of the Principality of Aschaffenburg.

Due to the conversion work under way, until mid-2010 performances on the Studio stage will be restricted. The programme includes voice and dance theatre for varying age groups and interests. The printed programme is available from the Kulturamt and other locations.
